State of Reform is a stakeholder-driven initiative that tries to bridge the gap between the worlds of health care and health policy. They do this through independent journalism and annual conferences. They are policy-agnostic, meaning they are not invested in any specific policy outcomes. Instead, they are mission-driven to bring together people to have important civil and civic policy discussions.
The AV Department supported two recent conferences. In early January, we provided audiovisual services for the 2020 Washington State of Reform Health Policy Conference, which is the largest, most diverse gathering of senior health care executives and health policy leaders in Washington state. This all-day event featured about 90 speakers discussing the most complex issues facing healthcare today. Audiovisual services included a grand ballroom set-up for content on two 16′ screens, audio amplification for an audience of 900, logo projection, stage lighting, and decorative uplighting. We also designed lighting for the registration and sponsor areas. In each of six break out rooms, we set-up and staffed projection and audio systems.
In December, we provided AV services for the 2019 Re-Wire Policy Conference, a non-partisan platform which brings together policy makers, opinion leaders, and corporate stakeholders to discuss solutions regarding policy, politics, and political economy prior to the start of the 2020 legislative session. The AV Department provided sound, lighting, and projection services for the keynote sessions and four break out rooms. Washington State Wire, a nonpartisan news organization focused on Washington state and a member of the State of Reform media group, hosted the conference.
