New Portland Event Space is Opening this Fall
Portland, Oregon, enjoys a vibrant event industry. And as a local audiovisual production company, The AV Department has had the pleasure of providing AV production services in many of the excellent event venues in our region. So it is with great excitement that we announce that The AV Department is opening AVENUE | Audio+Visual Event Space this fall.
AV + Venue = AVENUE
At the heart of our work are our nonprofit clients. For many of these organizations, their annual gala and auction is their primary fundraising event. The highest quality sound, lighting and video projection is crucial during a special appeal and live auction. If the audience and benefit auctioneer cannot clearly hear each other, fundraising efforts falter. The audiovisual experts of The AV Department designed AVENUE to provide a Portland event space for nonprofit organizations to host successful events with a venue partner who already understands the various aspects of nonprofit galas.
Premier AV Package is Included
At AVENUE, our Premier AV Package is included with every venue rental. This is the custom audiovisual system and approach our clients receive when we provide AV production for their events across the region. It includes everything needed for excellent audio, lighting, projection, and production management.
Options to Customize Every Event
Beyond the included Premier AV Package, clients will be able to select options to customize their event at AVENUE even more, including a live stream for a hybrid event; impactful event lighting designs; unique sponsor acknowledgement options; performer audio support for musicians and bands; and more.
Intentional Design Choices
The carefully selected audio, lighting, streaming, and projection technology are not the only aspects that make AVENUE an AV-forward event space. Other intentional design choices will enhance the audience experience. Projectable surfaces throughout the space, programmable table and decor lighting for a custom touch at every table; acoustical treatment; free WiFi and a host of other AV-forward touches are planned.

The building permits are in hand and construction has started. We invite everyone to join the journey to opening day of Portland’s new event space.
